Peanut Butter Banana Pops for Dogs

These delicious and healthy pops are perfect for your furry friend on a hot day! They are simple to make and packed with flavors that dogs love.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened peanut butter (make sure it's xylitol-free)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt (preferably low-fat or non-fat)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Banana:

    • Peel the ripe banana and place it in a mixing bowl. Mash it with a fork until smooth, leaving a few small chunks for texture if desired.
  2. Mix the Ingredients:

    • Add the unsweetened peanut butter and plain yogurt to the mashed banana.
    • Stir the mixture until all the ingredients are well combined and smooth. You can use a hand mixer for a creamier texture if you prefer.
  3. Pour into Molds:

    • Spoon the mixture into silicone molds or ice cube trays. Make sure to leave a little space at the top, as the mixture may expand slightly when frozen.
  4. Insert Sticks (Optional):

    • If you're using molds that allow for it, insert dog-safe popsicle sticks or small treats into the center of each pop.
  5. Freeze:

    • Place the molds in the freezer and let them freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until completely solid.
  6. Serve:

    • Once frozen, carefully remove the pops from the molds. You can run warm water over the outside of the molds for easier removal if needed.
    • Serve the Peanut Butter Banana Pops to your dog as a special treat on a hot
    •  day!

Storage:

  • Store any leftover pops in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 months.

Tips:

  • Always check that the peanut butter you use is free from xylitol, as it is toxic to dogs.
  • You can customize these pops by adding other dog-safe ingredients like blueberries or pumpkin puree for added flavor and nutrition.
  • Supervise your dog while enjoying their pops to ensure they don’t choke on any large pieces.

Enjoy making these tasty treats for your pup!
